Alixe Dique grew up in Queensland, her father was a surgeon in the Indian Army, her mother formally a journalist with the Madras Newspaper. Alixe trained as a commercial artist at the Brisbane Central Technical College, studying fine art. Alixe was a member of the Flying Arts School for two years and has worked for the Queensland Musical Theatre. She has had four solo exhibitions in Australia and one overseas at Francis Iles Gallery in Rutland House in Rochester, Kent U.K.

Alixe's paintings have sold in Oberstaufen (Germany) and in Rochester (Kent).

Having previously lived in New Guinea, New Zealand, Sydney, Scotland, Melbourne, Adelaide, Windorah, Longreach and Lowood she now resides in Bedourie. The Outback, Colonial and Station Life scenes from places where she has visited and worked are all depicted in her art.

The Red Mill Gallery features original paintings by Alixe Dique and also prints, cards, gifts and other art material.
