The Big Red Cafe can be found tucked away in the Blue Poles Gallery across the road from the big water tanks and is open from 9am.  They offer an assortment of tempting mouth watering goodies.  Yummy pasta, tasty Mediterranean food and delicious pastries, coffee and milk shakes.  Meals are available all day and evening. The Big Red Cafe's camp fire burns every night in winter. Entertainment includes fire spinning, live music and astronomy nights.

Birdsville Bakery

For the first time, visitors to Birdsville can purchase fresh bread from the newly opened “Birdsville Bakery”. The new bakery includes  a café themed on old world Australiana offering coffee, cakes, fresh pies and sausage rolls.  Birdsville pies will include Australian bushfoods such as Quondong as well as hot chilli pies (Ringers’ Regret) and Beef & Beer. Evening meals include hamburgers, pizzas, chicken, lamb and fish & chips.
