
The Navy crest and family crest of Diamantina Roma Bowen, wife of Queensland's first governor, were combined to create the above crest.
A bronco branding rope replaced the traditional naval rope, and a bull was placed on top of the crest instead of a ship.
Wildflowers from the Shire (Yellow Top Daisies on the right, and Sea Heath on the left) which spring into life following winter rains were included to create a colourful and unique crest.
