Plant Operator - Labourer (3) Full Time - Multiskill Crew

We are now recruiting for three full time Plant Operator (Labourer) for our Multiskill Crew. If you are fit and strong, keen to work outdoors then this might be the job for you. Ideally you will have an experience with a variety of plant combined with some concreting skills.

Experienced applicants who are self-starters, team players and enjoy adventure are encouraged to apply.

A competitive remuneration package is offered ($54,000 to $90,000 depending on allowances and overtime), including above award wages.  Council also provides 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading and 9.5% superannuation. A comfortable home is available in Bedourie or Birdsville at subsidised rent.

Councils works crews operate on a 10/4 roster whilst residing in modern mobile camp accommodation.

Administration Officer - Trainee

We are seeking a committed individual to complete a full time Business Administration Traineeship. This position will be based in Bedourie and will require a one year commitment.  Working with the Finance and Administration team, this exciting opportunity will provide practical experience while you are studying towards a nationally accredited Certificate 3 in Business Administration. 

If you are a high school graduate and want to start a career in business administration then please apply. Mature age applicants are also encouraged to apply.

The base weekly wage for this position,  in accordance with the Training Wage Award - State 2012, is between $406 and $632 depending on your age.  Council also pays an above Award payment of 20% of your base wage and locality allowance of either $138.05 per week or $69.03 per week depending on your circumstances.

You will be entitled to six weeks' annual leave and a comfortable home will be available for rent in Bedourie at subsidised rental.

Labourer - Bedourie Town Services (Casual)

Tourism Officer (Casual) – Bedourie

Council is seeking an enthusiastic person to join our experienced staff at the Outback Visitors Information Centre in Bedourie.  The Centre is the focal point for locals and tourists and hosts the Library.  This position is a casual position to assist during the busy tourist season (April to October).

You will need to be organised, have great customer service and possess excellent computer skills. Previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and experience within the tourist sector at an iconic destination.
