METHODS OF PAYMENT
There are three ways in which you can pay your rates, these are in person, by mail or direct deposit.  You can also arrange with the Council to make pre-paid installments, please contact the office for more detail.  Overdue rates are charged interest, which is calculated at 11% p.a. compound interest, calculated on a daily basis, on overdue rates outstanding 30 Days after issue date.

In Person
Present your rates notice intact with cash or cheque at the Diamantina Shire Council office between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm.  EFTPOS and Credit Card payment is now available. (Bankcard, MasterCard, VISA)

By Mail
You can detach and complete the bottom portion of your rates notice with your credit card details or cheque and post to:

Direct Deposit
By using the Council's banking details you can deposit your rates payment directly into their account.  Ensure you identify your deposit by referencing your payment with the assessment number, this number is found on your rate notice.  Also ensure that you notify the Council office that you've made this payment, by providing proof of deposit (this can be made in person or by fax/email), or you may forfeit any discounts that are applicable.

Payment by Installments
Ratepayers who wish to pay their rates by installments over the financial year are advised to obtain an application form from the Shire Office.  Please note however, that such installment payments are subject to the payment of a premium, and do not entitle the ratepayer to discount, unless the final installment is made prior to the end of discount period.
