Our Road Network

Diamantina Shire Council maintains over 1,684 kilometres of roads, the majority of these are dirt or gravel with only 190 kilometres of bitumen road in the whole Shire.

The following projects were scheduled for the 2009/2010 financial year:

◦Main Roads – Roads Performance Contracts - $5.67m
◦Main Roads – Flood Damage - $10.97m
◦Shire Roads – Flood Damage - $9.60m
