Diamantina Shire Council is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as Director Infrastructure Services.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing Council’s infrastructure operations, including roads, civil works, asset management, capital projects, fleet, maintenance and service delivery across the Shire.

The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, lead a diverse workforce, manage significant infrastructure programs and budgets, and help shape the future of one of Queensland’s most unique and remote regions.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine professional leadership with an authentic outback lifestyle in the iconic communities of Birdsville, Bedourie and Betoota.

The position is offered on a three-to-five-year contract and includes a competitive salary package, housing, vehicle, relocation assistance, professional development opportunities and generous leave provisions.
