Sewer Overflow – Bedourie Pump Station

Council advises that the pump station near the northeastern levee bank in Bedourie has failed, causing a sewer overflow. An electrician has been arranged to fly into Bedourie to carry out repairs as soon as possible.

Facilities Closed During Weather Event

Due to the current weather conditions, the Bedourie Visitor Information Centre, Bedourie Playgroup and Bedourie Library are closed until further notice.

Birdsville Water Cooling Project Update

During system testing last week, several issues were identified that require further investigation and resolution to ensure the system can consistently deliver the appropriate volumes of cooled water to the community. To ensure continued supply, the existing (‘old’) cooling system will remain operational while these matters are addressed and further testing is completed.

Wirrarri Visitor Information Centre Closure
