Rates

Council rates and levies help fund essential local services like road maintenance, waste collection, water and sewerage, libraries, community facilities, parks, and other community activities and projects.

Rates and charges apply for the financial year from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.

You may be charged a general rate or a minimum general rate based on your property’s valuation, provided by the Department of Resources. Council sets out its general rates each year in the Differential General Rate Category Information.

2026/2027 Rate Notices will be issued on Thursday, 20 August 2026.

The due date is Tuesday, 20 October 2026. A discount of 15% on the differential general rate may be applicable if paid within sixty (60) days of the date of issue of the rate notice. Please refer to our Revenue Statement for conditions.
