Diamantina Shire residents and visitors are invited to build their digital skills this May, with a series of free, beginner-friendly workshops coming to Birdsville and Bedourie.
Delivered by the State Library of Queensland through the Digital Diamantina program, the sessions are designed to help people feel more confident using everyday technology in a relaxed and supportive environment.
The workshop series includes two practical topics:
Digital Photography
Learn simple tips to take clearer, more eye-catching photos with your phone, tablet, or digital camera—perfect for small businesses, community groups, or anyone looking to capture better everyday moments.
Intro to ChatGPT (Beginners)
Take the mystery out of artificial intelligence in this easy-to-follow session. Participants will learn what ChatGPT is, how it works, and how it can be used for writing, planning, learning and everyday problem-solving.

All sessions are free to attend, with light refreshments provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own device, such as a phone, tablet or camera; however, some devices will be available for use during the ChatGPT sessions.
