Council has commenced a 3.6km bitumen upgrade on the Eyre Developmental Road, located 54km south of Bedourie (on the way to Birdsville).
The project is expected to take approximately three months, with a detour now in place and a 60km/h speed limit enforced through the work zone.
We ask all travellers to slow down and take care through the site — your patience helps keep our road crews and fellow drivers safe.
