Council wishes to inform the public that rehabilitation works on the Birdsville Cemetery have commenced.
Surveying of known and possible grave sites has been conducted to assist with the rehabilitation of water scours caused by recent weather events.
Residents may notice survey pegs identifying the sites that need to be worked around. Physical works will commence in the near future.
The cemetery remains open to the public; however, it may require short-term closure when works commence.
Council apologises for any inconvenience.
