Due to overnight local rain, there are widespread road closures across Birdsville, Bedourie & Betoota.
Due to current rain events and staff being temporarily unable to return to town, the Bedourie Library will be closed today, Monday 18 May and Playgroup will not operate tomorrow, Tuesday 19 May and Wednesday 20 May. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank the community for their understanding.
Council wishes to advise residents and visitors that Diamantina National Park will be temporarily closed to the public from Sunday, 17 May 2026, to Saturday, 23 May 2026.
