Council wishes to advise residents, businesses and road users that road rehabilitation works will be undertaken on Adelaide Street and Burt Street in Birdsville commencing 9 October 2026 and continuing for approximately two (2) months, weather permitting. Temporary road closures and detours will be in place during this time.

In accordance with section 254C(2)(b) of the Local Government Regulation 2012, Diamantina Shire Council advises that notice is hereby given that a Special Budget Meeting will be held at Bedourie Administration Centre, 17 Herbert Street, Bedourie, on Tuesday, 13 October 2026 at 9:00am.
The purpose of this meeting is to review the budget and consider any proposed amendments.
