Council wishes to advise residents, businesses and road users that road rehabilitation works will be undertaken on Adelaide Street and Burt Street in Birdsville commencing 9 October 2026 and continuing for approximately two (2) months, weather permitting. Temporary road closures and detours will be in place during this time.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 254C(2)(b) of the Local Government Regulation 2012, notice is hereby given of a Special Meeting to be held on Monday, 28 September 2026, at 10:00am at Bedourie Administration Centre, 17 Herbert Street, Bedourie.
Business to be Conducted In accordance with section 254J of the Local Government Regulation 2012, Council advises that the Special Meeting will be closed to the public to consider a confidential report.
The report relates to a confidential agreement and will be considered in closed session pursuant to s254J(3):
(e) legal advice obtained by the local government or legal proceedings involving the local government, including, for example, legal proceedings that may be taken by or against the local government; and (g) negotiations relating to a commercial matter involving the local government, for which a public discussion would be likely to prejudice the interests of the local government.
