Diesel Mechanic (Bedourie)

Applications are invited from experienced Diesel Mechanic to provide an effective and efficient mechanical service involving the repair, servicing and maintenance of Council’s plant, equipment and vehicle fleet.  Plant includes Heavy Commercials, Earthmoving, agricultural-type equipment, light fleet and ancillary items. We require you to have:

  • Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic Certificate.
  • To hold a current HR driver's licence or able to obtain.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ trade experience.
  • Be physically fit for hot/dry conditions.
  • To hold Working Safely in the Construction Industry CPCCOH1001A (white card).
  • Experience with CAT equipment preferred.

This position is based in Bedourie, a small but vital town with fantastic modern facilities, including 24/7 health services, schools, sporting facilities and twice-weekly flights to/from Brisbane/Mt Isa.

On offer are above award wages, monthly RDO and 6 weeks annual leave. A comfortable home is available at heavily subsidised rent (approximately $150/week for three bedrooms, partially furnished dwellings).
