Administration Officer - Creditors

Applications are invited from suitably experienced candidates for the position of Administration Officer - Creditors.  We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic person with an inquisitive mind to be responsible for the administrative aspects of the Finance Department.

This pivotal role will be responsible for the day to day processing of Councils finance systems.

  • A sound knowledge of accounting practices including accounts payable, cash receipting, procurement and banking procedures is desirable.
  • Certificate III in Business Administration or related finance/accounting discipline would be highly regarded.
  • A minimum of one to three years experience in a similar role in a large multi disciplinary organisation undertaking accounts payable processing.
  • Experience in using financial modules of Synergy Soft or ability to learn will be an advantage.

This is a fulltime permanent position with a competitive remuneration package ($65,234 to $72,389 depending on your experience), which includes above award wages.

Plant Operator (Final Trim Grader)

Childrens Service Facilitator

Applications are invited from an experienced Children's Service Facilitator. This position will be responsible for planning and coordinating regular structured child focussed activities for children aged up to 8 years including; Playgroup sessions, Kids Club, and occasional specific activities such as literacy programs, and nutrition education. 

This position is a part-time position for 23hrs/week and based in Bedourie.

The successful applicant will need to have a current Working with Children - Blue Card.

Tourism & Hospitality Officers

Council is seeking enthusiastic personnel’s to join our experienced staff at the Wirrarri Visitor Information Centre in Birdsville. The Wirrarri Centre is the focal point for locals and tourists and hosts the Library and Gallery, full of history and local artefacts.

You will need to be organised, have great customer service and possess excellent computer skills. Previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and experience within the tourist sector at an iconic destination.
