Bedourie Library & Playgroup Closure Notice

Due to current rain events and staff being temporarily unable to return to town, the Bedourie Library will be closed today, Monday 18 May and Playgroup will not operate tomorrow, Tuesday 19 May. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank the community for their understanding.

Council wishes to advise residents and visitors that Diamantina National Park will be temporarily closed to the public from Sunday, 17 May 2026, to Saturday, 23 May 2026.

Birdsville Cemetery Rehabilitation Works

Council wishes to inform the public that rehabilitation works on the Birdsville Cemetery have commenced. Surveying of known and possible grave sites has been conducted to assist with the rehabilitation of water scours resulting from recent weather events. Physical works will commence in the near future.

Birdsville Playgroup Closure

Bedourie Subdivision Work

Council advises that works on the new Bedourie Subdivision will commence Monday, 20 April 2026. Temporary road closures may occur on Eyre Street, including at the Roadhouse intersection. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience during these works.
