Council advises that works on the new Bedourie Subdivision will commence Monday, 20 April 2026. Temporary road closures may occur on Eyre Street, including at the Roadhouse intersection. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience during these works.

Council wishes to advise that the scheduled rubbish collection for today, Tuesday, 7 April, will not take place due to mechanical issues.
Collection is expected to occur either tomorrow, Wednesday 8 April, or Thursday 9 April.

Birdsville Telstra Outage

Council wishes to advise that the current Telstra landline outage in Birdsville is a regional issue. Telstra currently has a technician scheduled to travel to Birdsville from mid-April to assess the issues.
