Bedourie Airport

Bedourie Airport

The Bedourie Airport, following a significant reconstruction, was officially opened on September 16, 2008 by the Honourable John Mickel, Minister for Transport, Trade, Employment and Industrial Relations. The reconstruction of Diamantina’s Airstrip was at an estimated cost of $1.77 million. The airstrip is considered a vital community asset that has improved regular passenger transport services to the area and is a vital link for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. There are no fuel facilities available.
