Diamantina Shire Council welcomes Jade Nacario as Director of Corporate Services

Diamantina Shire Council is excited to welcome Jade Nacario as Director of Corporate Services, commencing Tuesday, 13 May 2025. 

Jade brings more than 12 years of experience in local government, with a strong track record of financial stewardship and corporate leadership in regional and remote communities. Having held senior roles with both Carpentaria Shire Council and Bulloo Shire Council, Jade is well-versed in the challenges and opportunities of working in small communities and outback locations. 

Some of Jade’s notable achievements include: 

  • Leading digital transformation initiatives across finance and operations 

  • Implementing online payroll and plant timesheet systems 

  • Overseeing audit and budget preparation with rigour and foresight 

Jade served with distinction at Carpentaria Shire Council for over six years, initially as Finance Manager and more recently as Acting Chief Operating Officer, where she led a multidisciplinary team encompassing finance, procurement, IT, governance, compliance, and local laws. 

In recognition of her leadership in financial management, Jade was nominated in 2016 as Queensland Local Government Finance Professional of the Year. She is a CPA Australia Professional Member and holds a Master of Commerce (Advanced Accounting) from Griffith University. She has completed the Executive Management in the Queensland Local Government Program with the Local Government Managers Australia (LGMA).
