PUBLIC NOTICE - OFFICE CLOSURES - CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR 2020/21
Council advises that the Wirrarri Visitor Information Centre will be closed on Wednesday, 16 December and from 5:00pm on Friday, 18 December 2020 until 8.30am on Monday, 11 January 2021.
The Bedourie Administration Office will be closed from 11am to 5pm on Wednesday 16th December and from 5:00pm on Friday, 18 December 2020 until 8.30am on Monday, 11 January 2021.
The Bedourie Outback Visitor Information Centre will be closed from 5:00pm Tuesday, 15th December 2020 and reopen 8.30am on Wednesday, 27th January 2021.

Garbage collections will occur on Tuesday 22nd December, Tuesday 29th December and Tuesday 5th January 2021.

Council Administration
General Council email or phone enquiries will not be available over the holiday closure period from 5:00pm on Friday, 18th December 2020 until 8.30am on Monday, 11th January 2021. The administration centre will also be closed from 11am on Wednesday 16th December for the Council Christmas party.
Facility Hire
Please ensure any facility hire request for the holiday period are received before COB Friday 18th December 2020.
Garbage Collection
Garbage collections will occur on Tuesday 22nd December, Tuesday 29th December and Tuesday 5th January 2021.
Bedourie Outback Information Centre
The Bedourie Outback Information Centre will close from 5:00pm Tuesday, 15th December 2020 and reopen 8.30am on Wednesday, 27th January 2021. Centrelink and Library facilities will not be available during this time. For visitor enquiries and library/Centrelink services, please visit the Bedourie Council Administration Centre during their opening times.
Bedourie Playgroup
Bedourie Playgroup will be closed from 18th December 2020. Playgroup will also be closed on Wednesday 16th December for the Council Christmas Party. Reopening details for 2021 are to be advised.
Bedourie Tourist Park
Bedourie Tourist Park will remain closed.
Bedourie Pool
Bedourie Pool will be open daylight hours over the holiday period, for access cards please visit the Bedourie Outback Information Centre before COB Friday 18th December 2020. Cards will not be available during the holiday closure period.
Bedourie Gym
Bedourie Gym will be open over the holiday period, for access cards please visit the Bedourie Outback Information Centre before COB Friday 18th December 2020. Cards will not be available during the holiday closure period.
Wirrarri Information Centre Birdsville
The Wirrarri Information Centre will close from 5:00pm Friday, 18th December 2020 and reopen 8.30am Monday, 11th January 2021. The information centre will also be closed on Wednesday 16th of December for the Council Christmas Party. Centrelink and Library facilities will not be available during this time.
Birdsville Playgroup
Birdsville Playgroup will be closed from 18th December 2020. Playgroup will also be closed on Wednesday 16th December for the Council Christmas Party. Reopening details for 2021 are to be advised.
Birdsville Tourist Park & Birdsville Lodge
The Birdsville Lodge will be closed from 1st December 2020 to 31st January 2021 unless we have a large booking or it is required for Council workers.
The Birdsville Tourist Park will be closed from 5pm on 23rd December to 8:30am on 2nd January 2021.
Birdsville Gym
Birdsville Gym will be open over the holiday period, for new membership please visit the Wirrarri Information Centre before COB Friday 18th December. New keys will not be available during the holiday closure period.
Birdsville Pool
Birdsville Pool will be open daylight hours over the holiday period. For new key requests please visit the Wirrarri Information Centre before COB 18th December 2020. Keys will also be available from the Birdsville Tourist Park over the holiday period. A cash bond of $50 is required when requesting a key.
