Council advises that the Wirrarri Visitor Information Centre will be closed from 5.00pm Thursday, 23 December 2021 until 8.30am on Monday, 10 January 2022.
The Bedourie Administration Office will be closed from 5.00pm Thursday, 23 December 2021 until 8.30am on Monday,4 January 2022.
The Bedourie Outback Visitor Information Centre will be closed from 5:00pm Wednesday, 15 December 2021 until 8.30am on Monday, 10 January 2022.
In the event of any Council related emergencies within the shire during this period please contact:

Garbage collections will occur on Tuesday 21st December, Wednesday 29th December and Tuesday 4th January 2022

Detail of Closures:
Council Administration
Phone enquiries will be diverted through to Peak Services during the holiday closure period from 5:00pm on Thursday, 23rd December 2021 until 8.30am on Monday, 4th January 2022. Council admin email will not be available during this time, however will be checked intermittently and any urgent enquires will be forwarded to relevant contact.
Facility Hire
Please ensure any facility hire request for the holiday period are received before COB Wednesday 22nd December 2021.
Garbage Collection
Garbage collections will occur on Tuesday 21st December, Wednesday 29th December and Tuesday 4th January 2022.
Bedourie Outback Information Centre
The Bedourie Outback Information Centre will close from 5:00pm Wednesday, 15 December 2021 until 8.30am on Monday, 10 January 2022. Centrelink and Library facilities will not be available during this time, however, you can visit the Bedourie Council Administration Centre during their opening times. For visitor enquiries please call 1300 794 257.
Bedourie Playgroup
Bedourie Playgroup will be closed from Friday, 17th December 2021 and reopen Monday, 10th January 2022.
Bedourie Tourist Park
Bedourie Tourist Park will be closed from Monday, 1 November 2021 to Monday, 28 February 2022.
Bedourie Pool
Bedourie Pool will be open daylight hours over the holiday period, for access cards please visit the Bedourie Council Administration Centre before COB Thursday 23rd December 2021. Cards will not be available during the holiday closure period.
Bedourie Gym
Bedourie Gym will be open over the holiday period, for access cards please visit the Bedourie Council Administration Centre before COB Thursday 23rd December 2021. Cards will not be available during the holiday closure period.
Wirrarri Information Centre Birdsville
The Wirrarri Information Centre will close from 5:00pm Thursday, 23rd December 2021 and reopen 8.30am Monday, 10th January 2021. Centrelink and Library facilities will not be available during this time.
Birdsville Playgroup
Birdsville Playgroup will be closed from Friday, 17th December 2021 and reopen Monday, 10th January 2022.
Birdsville Tourist Park & Birdsville Lodge
The Birdsville Lodge will be closed from 1st December 2021 to 31st January 2022 unless we have a large booking or it is required for Council workers.
The Birdsville Tourist Park will be closed from 5.00pm on 23rd December 2021 to 8:30am on 4th January 2022, however, Powered and Unpowered Sites will be available during this period by calling 07 4656 3214.
Birdsville Gym
Birdsville Gym will be open over the holiday period, for new membership please visit the Wirrarri Information Centre before COB Thursday 23rd December. New keys will not be available during the holiday closure period.
Birdsville Pool
Birdsville Pool will be open daylight hours over the holiday period. For new key requests please visit the Wirrarri Information Centre before COB 23rd December 2021.
